About The Author

He has been actively involved in establishing high school water operator in-training programs across the State of Illinois since 2015, assisting various utilities, schools, and not-for-profit organizations.
Through his years, his colleagues have affectionately and professionally referred to Darrell as the WATER KING!
Darrell A. King has been working in the water treatment industry since 1997. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Grambling State University and a Master of Science degree from Rosalind Franklin University School of Medicine and Science. He also has an Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Class A Water Operator’s License.
Darrell’s career has included the oversight and management of three municipal public water supplies, including two Lake Michigan Class A Conventional Water Treatment Facilities.
